Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic Med-Surg/Acute Care setting focused on orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery patients. The unit maintains a manageable nurse-to-patient ratio of 5-6:1, fostering quality care delivery. Role Details: Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med-Surg / Acute Care - Ortho, Neuro, General Surgery Shift: Nights (3x12-hour shifts) Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend Call: No call requirement Floating: Occasional float within scope to nearby facilities (within 25 miles) Qualifications: Active RN license with 2+ years of nursing experience in post-operative care Current BLS certification (AHA) Proficient in post-operative assessments, pain management, wound and drain care Comfortable working with technology including Alaris infusion pumps, Omnicell, and EPIC EMR Flexible to float occasionally as needed Professional appearance adhering to the navy scrub dress code (no fleece) Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive post-operative assessments and ongoing patient monitoring Effectively manage pain and implement wound and drain care protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC Uphold high standards of clinical practice and patient safety Why Consider This Role?
