Department/Unit: HBD - Medicine Cardiology Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $128,960.00 Join our dynamic Cardiology outpatient practice seeking a detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our healthcare team in Albany, NY! We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong clinical reasoning skills to enhance patient care. In this role, you will work under the guidance of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) while being supervised by our Nurse Supervisor (RN). You will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, conducting triage (both in-person and via telephone), and managing assessments to create and evaluate personalized care plans for our patients. Key Responsibilities: Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, alerting providers to any abnormal findings. Gather and document comprehensive patient histories (medical, surgical, and social) and conduct focused physical assessments based on clinic protocols. Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians or APPs. Assist in office procedures relevant to cardiology under supervision, documenting results in electronic health records (EHR). Review and triage test results, patient requests, and pharmacy renewals; facilitate follow-up communication with patients as required. Utilize resources effectively to meet patient outcomes and contribute to quality metrics at Albany Medical Center (AMC), New York State, and nationally. Supervise appropriate tasks delegated to LPNs and MAs based on their licensure. Ensure compliance with AMC and regulatory agency guidelines (The Joint Commission). Provide orientation and training for newly hired staff. Engage in continuous education focused on clinic specialties to stay current with best practices. Educate patients about their conditions and promote overall health and wellness. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program. Current New York State RN licensure. Current BLS certification. Preferred experience in an outpatient and/or cardiology setting. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Able to convey information clearly to physicians, patients, and families. Proficiency in computer software including MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
