The facility offers advanced cardiac care with state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.Opportunity:Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic SurgeryJob Details:• Provide cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery support with 5-8 patient encounters per shift• Floor shifts scheduled 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch• On-call coverage from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM next day with 1:2 call schedule• Split call 50/50 with one other PA including every other weekend coverage• Round on post-operative inpatients and provide comprehensive follow-up care• First assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures• See patients in outpatient clinic settings• Perform endoscopic and radial artery harvesting procedures• Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results• Manage ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices• Must maintain active California PA license and California DEA registration• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications• Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime after 8 hours• Credentialing timeframe 60-90 days depending on file completenessCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
