Position Highlights Three 12-hour shifts per weekFlexible scheduling with monthly schedules released in advanceBroad urgent care case mix including acute illness, injury care, and occupational healthSupportive clinical teams and accessible medical leadershipOpportunity to maintain strong procedural and diagnostic skills Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care settingManage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visitsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imagingPerform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound careProvide clear treatment plans and discharge instructionsDocument visits accurately in the electronic health recordMaintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA licenseBoard certification required (NCCPA for PAs; ANCC or AANP for NPs FNP preferred)DEA license or ability to obtain prior to startAbility to treat patients of all agesBLS certificationWillingness to work occasional weekends and holidaysDOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered) Preferred Experience Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experienceStrong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, and wound careExperience with initial x-ray interpretation before radiology over-read About NextCare NextCare is one of the nation s largest urgent care providers, operating 160+ clinics across 11 states.
