Job SummaryThe Procurement Manager, Materials & Transitions is responsible for leading materials purchasing programs and project-managing new customer transitions to ensure continuity of supply, cost competitiveness, and operational readiness. This role develops and executes sourcing strategies for direct materials that positively impact cost, quality, availability, and service levels while supporting business growth and customer onboarding initiatives. The Procurement Manager works cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, IT, and Customer Transition teams to define material requirements, manage suppliers, and ensure successful execution of new customer transitions and major program changes. A strong background in materials management, analytics, and project management is required. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeads materials purchasing programs including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, pricing, capacity planning, and contractsProject manages new customer transitions and major program launches ensuring materials readiness and risk mitigationDevelops and maintains material cost models, forecasts, and spend analyticsPartners with Operations to ensure material availability and inventory optimizationDrives continuous improvement across materials procurementOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Analytics, or related field5-8 years in procurement, materials management, or supply chain roles with experience in materials programs and customer transitionsAPICS or PMP a plusContracts ExperienceNegotiation SkillsProject Management ExperienceTotal Cost Modeling ExperienceProposal Process ExperienceUnderstanding of E-sourcing tools and their applicationsERP systems experience (JDE Preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPointPhysical DemandsWork is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time.
