This position requires a vigilant and attentive individual who is experienced in security protocols and emergency response strategies. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring the access points of our facility, conducting regular patrols, and responding to any incidents or emergencies that may arise. Additionally, you will be tasked with communicating to staff and visitors about security policies and procedures, fostering a secure atmosphere that is essential for our business. The role requires excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, as well as the capability to collaborate effectively with our team to enhance our security measures. Responsibilities Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vendors Ensure the safety and security of the premises through routine patrols and inspections Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations as they arise Prepare and maintain accurate records of security activities and incidents Communicate with staff and visitors pertinent security protocols and emergency procedures Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary Utilize surveillance equipment and technology to identify and address potential security issues Requirements Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar role High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to lift 50lbs, unassisted Strong observational and communication skills Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in emergency situations Familiarity with security equipment and technology, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems Physical ability and stamina to safely conduct regular patrols and respond to incidents effectively.
