As a special agent, you will engage in critical assignments in both investigations and protection, with opportunities to be stationed at various locations across the U.S. and internationally. Your duties will include: Providing security for designated protectees. Conducting criminal investigations related to the financial obligations of the United States. Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to carry and utilize a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is required. Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral, with exceptions for individuals with current or prior federal law enforcement service. Must obtain and retain a Top Secret Clearance throughout your career. Visual acuity: uncorrected no worse than 20/100 binocular; corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye. Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear at specified frequencies. Must pass a drug test prior to appointment and comply with random drug testing thereafter. Complete 13 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA, followed by 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Willingness to accept assignments anywhere in the United States and overseas, as stated in a mobility agreement.
