Your professional demeanor and reassuring presence will provide guests and Ambassadors with the peace of mind that enhances their overall park experience. You will:Respond quickly and appropriately to calls for service and security/safety issuesPatrol by foot/vehicle to protect park guests and park property from security/safety risksAssist law enforcement officers when necessaryPerform roving patrols of all park property, including buildings, vehicles, animals, etc.Interact with guests and Ambassadors to create a safe and secure environmentInvestigate incidents and complete incident reportsInspect bags and entering/exiting vehicles to prevent theft or the introduction of contrabandConduct access control for all vehicles and employees to ensure proper authorizationOperate mobile and static postsMaintain logsIssue/receive keys and validate IDs for accessWhat it takes to succeed:At least 18 years of ageStrong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skillsHave a Class D security licenseValid Driver's License requiredAbility to work weekends (required) and holidaysShifts: 1st Shift (12:00am - 8:30am); 2nd Shift (8:00am - 4:30pm); 3rd Shift (4:00pm - 12:30am)Adventure Island (Based on park operating hours) Metal (Based on park operating hours)Willingness to carry and use defensive weapons (e.g., handcuffs and Oleoresin Capsicum spray)Mental, emotional, and physical competencies needed to learn and apply the SeaWorld Use of Force Response Options and OC spray policiesPrevious security or law enforcement experience preferredKnowledge of common safety/security practicesAbility to define problems, collect accurate data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine a proper course of actionAbility to lift, push, pull 50 lbsAbility to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditionsAbility to bend, stoop, and climb stairs to reasonable heightsAbility to stand or walk for extended periods of timeBe able to pass required CPR/First Aid courseThe perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as:FREE park admissionDiscounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friendsPark discounts on food, merchandise, etc.Scholarship opportunitiesExclusive employee events and giveaways EEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
