Deep Blue Investment Advisors recruits the best and brightest people with a genuine passion for the business and a core belief that the client comes first.POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Operations Analyst provides critical support for Operations and Reporting for DBIA Registered Investment Advisor Separately Managed Accounts and U.S. Fixed Income Trust Local Government Investment Pools. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of RIA Operations.The fundamental role of this position is to support our endeavor to optimize firmwide operations across both the RIA (Deep Blue Investment Advisors) and the Trust (U.S. Fixed Income Trust). This is an excellent opportunity for solutions-oriented, driven early career professional to truly expand their experience and knowledge while simultaneously, whether independently or in collaboration with the team, contributing to achieve a cohesive, fully integrated platform focused on continuous improvement to ensure the highest level of operational efficiency and accuracy of information, both internally and externally.The right individual for this role will inherently possess a strong desire to learn, view every assignment as nontrivial, challenge the status quo, and remain perpetually intrigued by crafting creative solutions. This is essentially a synergy of Operations Specialist and Business Analyst roles.RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS (including but not limited to:)REPORTINGWork in collaboration with colleagues and vendors in executing portfolio accounting and performance reporting activitiesClient ReportingManagement ReportingCustody and Trade reconciliation oversightInvestment Policy Statement complianceQuality Control to ensure achievement of Service Level AgreementsNew client onboardingAdherence to regulatory record retention requirementsContinuous improvementOPERATIONSTrust administration: expense accrual analysis, advisor fee verifications, website oversightSMA Client billingSupport the Business Analyst with data analysis and workflow optimizationSolutions architectingProcedure documentationSupporting data and software integration initiativesData analysisAdditional activities as assigned by managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in business, finance, and/or accounting3 to 5 years' relevant experience in the financial services area, preferably with experience supporting portfolio accounting, investment operations, and business analysisDemonstrable understanding of FintechDemonstrable knowledge of fixed incomeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interact with people remotely or in person, with a high level of confidence.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelStrong proficiency in mathematicsCOMPETENCIES Communication - Possess highly effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
