Position Scope:Under the direction of the manager, the Medical Technologist performs clinical testing in one or more of thefollowing areas: accessioning, serology, molecular and point of care. Qualifications:The following identifies the education, training and experience required to perform essential functions of the job.Education & Certifications: Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology or in one of the chemicals,physical, biological sciences at an accredited college or university Completion of three years of academic study with a minimum of 90 semester hours at an accreditedcollege or university in a curriculum involving biological or physical science Medical Laboratory Technologist, American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent Must have Florida Laboratory supervisor s license or obtain it within 3 months Experience, Skills, and Abilities: 3+ years of clinical laboratory experience, highly preferred Interest in working as part of a small and growing company, with awarenessabout the opportunities and challenges that come with a highly adaptive environment Ability to retain confidential information Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to present a professional image to management, staff, clients, and regulatory agencies Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Word, and LIMS
