Job SummaryA Health Care Specialist assists Teachers by caring for handicapped students' physical needs, including toileting, and helping in their training and educational needs through the presentation of educational material or exercises. Employees in this classification receive general to direct supervision from a certificated teacher and/or school site administrator within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures. This job classification will perform a variety of duties dealing with the health and safety of handicapped students and requires a high degree of positive contact with both students and certificated staff.
