CDL Hazmat Driver

Clean Harbors is seeking a Class B Driver (Retail Technician) to join our team and provide vital environmental services. This role involves the collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products, recycling of various materials, and conducting on-site cleanup activities. Key Responsibilities: Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures. Pick up, pack, and transport damaged and recalled goods per customer requests. Load, pack, and segregate materials for safe transport. Drive a Box Truck to various retail customer sites. Interact with customers at each stop to provide updates and support. Prepare DOT shipping documents accurately. Utilize a laptop, printer, handheld devices, and iPhone to perform job functions. Conduct work in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and Clean Harbors policies. Responsible for compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Ensure proper documentation for disposal restrictions and special packaging requirements. Maintain accurate drum counts and conditions for shipping. Keep abreast of all relevant compliance regulations and safety protocols. Observe all corporate operating guidelines and protocols. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Valid Driver's license is required. Strong customer service skills are essential. Ability to effectively use technology including laptops, handheld devices, and printers. Eligible to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements within 6 months of hire, at company expense. Capable of performing physical functions related to job requirements. Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination. Adhere to facial hair standards as per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard. Preferred Qualifications: Previous commercial driving experience is advantageous. Experience with route driving is a plus. Background in manual labor can be beneficial.
