Job Description:
We are partnering with a growing aseptic manufacturer in the Central New York area that is looking for a hands on, visible Plant Manager for a state of the art facility. This role will have full responsibility for site operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, staffing, and continuous improvement. The Plant Manager will play a critical role in mentoring management, establishing operational goals, and ensuring the facility operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and product quality. Location: Syracuse, NY areaJob Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the day to day manufacturing operationsOversee staffing, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance managementEstablish and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and operational goalsDrive productivity improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficienciesDevelop and enforce plant policies, SOPs, and performance standardsEnsure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with engineering and maintenance to support utilities, refrigeration, wastewater, preventive maintenance, and capital projectsManage annual operating budgets and control departmental expensesMaintain a strong presence on the production floor to support and engage employeesPartner with quality and engineering to investigate customer and consumer complaints Build relationships with regulatory agencies, vendors, and suppliersSupport ongoing employee development and leadership training initiativesParticipate in off-shift and weekend activities as needed to support plant operations and food safety programsRequired QualificationsAseptic manufacturing experience is required 5+ years of Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership experience in manufacturing is requiredMust have a hands-on approach to leadership, visible leader Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of sanitation, allergen control, and regulatory complianceExperience managing budgets, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiativesBachelor's degree is ideal Excellent communication and leadership skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and related operational software tools
