Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Responsibilities: Perform routine and complex nuclear medicine imaging procedures using SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT systems Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals via injection, inhalation, or oral routes Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort Assist with cardiac stress testing, including IV starts and EKG lead placement Evaluate imaging data for technical quality and perform additional views when necessary Perform quality control and calibration of imaging equipment and hot lab instrumentation Maintain accurate documentation and transfer imaging studies to PACS systems Follow radiation safety guidelines (ALARA) and perform contamination monitoring Required Qualifications: Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology through NMTCB or ARRT (N) Active and unrestricted Radiologic Technology license in a U.S. state or territory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Minimum 3 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience Experience performing SPECT, SPECT/CT, or PET/CT imaging procedures
