Executive Manager of Purchasing

CR Fletcher is currently recruiting for an Executive Manager of Purchasing for a heavy highway, trucking, paving, blacktop, aggregate company locally. We are looking for someone with experience implementing an entire purchasing department operation from scratch. This person will have the freedom to make any and all recommendations on how the purchasing department will look and will have the ability to hire staff as needed. This is a newly created role due to growth. Responsibilities: Design and implement purchasing department policies and procedures from scratch Lead and develop company-wide purchasing strategy for sourcing, negotiating, and buying Manage capital purchases for plants, fleet, heavy equipment, and facilities Track and report key metrics such as cost savings, procurement cycle time, on-time delivery, vendor performance etc. Train management and other employees on how to utilize purchasing tools Requirements: Experience managing a Purchasing team in a construction environment 7-10+ years of purchasing experience Excellent communication skills CR Fletcher is an Equal Employment Opportunity staffing partner and employer.
