It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.SummaryUnder the direction of the Senior Director for Mental and School Health and as a part of a multidisciplinary team the Urgent Care Mental Health Specialist will provide on-site and remote direct therapeutic services to pediatric patients, ages 5 - 26, and their families, and adults, including assessments, treatment plans and discharge planning. The specialist will also engage with staff and families in the urgent care center that they are covering to provide information, education, brief consultations and referrals for patients and staff seeking assistance with mental health issues. The specialist will be available for consultations both virtually and in person when not otherwise in treatment sessions. The specialist will be proactively engaged with families and staff to promote mental health services, provide timely information and provide education and direction for staff. The specialist will also provide staff and families with referrals to PM Mental Health services or other needed services as appropriate.Onsite Locations Available: Riverdale, Mamaroneck, Forest Hills, Syosset, Selden!Schedule: Mondays - Fridays: 12pm-8pm or 1pm-9pm shiftsFull Time = 40 hours/weekPart Time positions (20 hours/week) available and also are benefits eligible!!DescriptionProvides pediatric and adult mental health therapy as part of a large, multi-disciplinary behavioral health team in an innovative pediatric version of the integrative primary/mental health care model.Provide highest quality therapy services to patientsParticipate in clinical team meetings with Urgent Care and MH staffMaintains weekly scheduled therapy appointmentsCompletes required documentation and paperwork including clinical assessments, treatment planning, and updating of patient medical records within 48 hours of patient visits.Possesses excellent communication and engagement skillsUtilize standardized tools (PHQ9, GAD7 etc..) to identify patients that can benefit from ongoing MH services and help families navigate treatmentAble to make rapid assessments and follow through on recommendations in a timely mannerDemonstrate deep knowledge of various mental health issues and symptoms and assist staff in UC to identify patients demonstrating mental health needsDemonstrate a deep knowledge of child development and assist families and staff who verbalize concerns to determine appropriate assessment and next stepsAble to professionally represent PM Mental Health when meeting with local providers, hospitals and payersAble to make independent clinical decisions with a minimum of guidanceDemonstrates deep understanding to the intersection of mental health and physical health issuesExpert in various modalities of short-term therapyCompensation range: $70,000-$85,000The salary/rate range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary/rate for this role.
