The Project Lead provides overall leadership for the successful execution of Commercial Construction projects. Project Lead Responsibilities: Collaborate with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase. Read and interpret Construction Plans and Specifications. Mentor less experienced Project Management staff on the daily duties required to effectively manage a construction project. Build long-term relationships with existing Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to identify and secure future project opportunities. Oversee Subcontractor and Vendor procurement by managing the buyout completion, scope of work reviews, contract writing, and insurance/bonding reviews. Research and recommend solutions to drawing interpretation issues, conflicts, and errors. Manage the team responsible for processing Submittals, RFIs, Change Order Proposals, Owner Billings, Time Sheet Management, Subcontractor/Vendor Billings, Monthly Reports, etc. Ensure timely preparation of Owner Billings by verifying work-in-place quantities and billings from Subcontractors and Suppliers. Verify accurate production of monthly cost projections to forecast total estimated costs at completion. Oversee the creation and monitoring of Project Schedules, including the production of progress updates. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered. 5+ years of experience managing commercial/light industrial projects. Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods. Strong financial management skills, with the ability to independently oversee all project aspects from initiation to completion.
