Ergon Trucking, Inc is looking for a competent Logistics Coordinator to add to our team in Sulphur, LA. As a Logistics Coordinator you will be the one to relay information between drivers and customers to insure proper equipment is used and orders are delivered in a safe and timely manner. A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. They are well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. Responsibilities * Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations * Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively * Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures * Dispatch and coordinate drivers according to availabilities and requirements * Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve mutual satisfaction * Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements * Prepare accurate reports for upper management Skills * Proven experience as logistics coordinator * Experience in customer service will be appreciated * Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations * Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes * Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software * Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and phone skills * Ability to sit for long periods of time * Professional appearance and attitude Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred) Ergon offers a competitive benefits package for our operators: 401(k), Health, Life, Dental, Holidays, Vacation, Sick Leave, Tuition Assistance and Profit Sharing Ergon is an EEO/AAP Employer.
