Critical Care/ICU Nurse Practitioner

A hospital is seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with ICU/Critical Care experience for locum tenens coverage. Regular hourly $150/hr, orientation $150/hr. Holiday 1.5x regular rates Position Details Role: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: Critical Care / Pulmonary Practice Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Start Date: June (ongoing need) Reason for Coverage: Coverage during credentialing of new providers Schedule Day and night shifts available June Coverage (Day Shifts) 1, 2, 11, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 29, 30 July Coverage Day shifts: 1, 6, 9, 11, 12 24, 27 Night shifts: August Coverage , (days or nights TBD) Ongoing coverage beyond August with flexible scheduling Providers must be able to cover at least one stint per month Patient Volume Average 13 patients per day (range 1 20) Patient Population Adult Clinical Responsibilities Vent management with respiratory therapy support Monitor and manage critical care patients Admit patients from ED, hospital floor, and surrounding facilities Respond to decompensating patients overnight Perform procedures including central lines, arterial lines, and dialysis catheters Communicate with families and manage goals of care Procedures Central venous lines (CVLs) Hemodialysis catheters Arterial lines Practice Environment APP works autonomously EMR:Epic Credentialing Estimated timeframe: 2 4 weeks Travel Flight Hotel (up to $150/night) Rental car/Uber (up to $50/day) Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate Requirements Board Certified Nurse Practitioner required Active Virginia license and DEA required BLS and ACLS required Must be able to cover listed dates required Must be able to provide monthly availability required Critical care experience required Clean background required for temporary privileges About WhiteCoat Locums: - Physician owned and led agency - Highest-Pay rates on the market - $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail - 100% transparency
