HR Specialist The HR Specialist provides critical support to the HR team by leveraging systems expertise, data analysis, and project coordination to drive efficiency, compliance, and data-driven decision making. This role ensures smooth execution of HR operations with a strong emphasis on HRIS management, reporting, and analytics, while also contributing to process improvement and organizational initiatives. Position Summary: The HR Specialist supports HR functions with a primary focus on HR systems, reporting, and data analytics. This position plays a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting compliance requirements, and providing advanced reporting insights through Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and lookups) and dashboards. Additionally, the HR Specialist contributes to HR projects, systems enhancements, and process improvements that align with business goals. Responsibilities: HR Systems and Technology Serve as a system super-user for HRIS platforms, ensuring data accuracy, timely updates, and compliance. Support the design, maintenance, and monitoring of HR dashboards (DOMO or similar tools) to provide visibility into workforce metrics. Troubleshoot system issues, test enhancements, and partner with IT/vendors on solutions. Provide training, documentation, and user support to employees and managers. Reporting and Data Analytics Build, maintain, and analyze workforce reports (headcount, turnover, demographics, etc.). Utilize advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, nested formulas, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, conditional formatting, etc.) to generate insights for HR leadership. Provide data inputs for compliance reports (e.g., EEO-1) and operational dashboards. Partner with HR leadership to identify trends and present findings that support decision-making. Project Support Act as a project coordinator for HR initiatives, including system upgrades, policy implementations, and compliance programs. Manage project documentation, track deliverables, and communicate progress against milestones. Collaborate across departments to ensure HR projects meet business requirements and deadlines. Onboarding and Offboarding Coordinate employee lifecycle activities including system setup, orientation reporting, and offboarding workflows. Audit data and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Collect feedback and contribute to process improvements in onboarding/offboarding programs. HR Administration & Support Maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy in HRIS and personnel files. Support the development and implementation of streamlined administrative processes. Provide responsive support to employees and managers on HRIS and HR related inquiries. Deliver administrative support for HR programs and initiatives. Participate in employee engagement activities and training sessions as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Competencies: Strong analytical mindset with expertise in HR data. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 23 years of experience in HR support, operations, or administration. Familiarity with HR principles, employment laws, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated proficiency in HRIS platforms, data visualization tools (e.g., DOMO, Power BI), and Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
