Their responsibilities are to aid the teachers in:-maintaining an orderly and safe environment for children.-supervising small groups of children as assigned by teaching staff.-participate in all operations of daily schedule which includes the following times of day: choice, snack, meal, group, nap, outdoor play, self help, dressing, bathroom care, & field trips.-complete and maintain orientation & required training included as part of the position.-light maintenance, clerical, or cleaning as assigned by teaching staff. -know the group of children you are assigned to and the whereabouts of them at all time (sight & sound supervision required always).Qualifications:*HIGHLY dependable work habits required and sound judgment/decision-making necessary.*A TB-test, Physical, and Criminal Background check required.*The following trainings are required: Orientation to the Center, Abusive Head Trauma, CPR/First Aid/AED, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Ethics. Meetings/Trainings held 1x monthly in the evening for 1-2 hours in length. Student Child Care Workers can work anywhere between 4-25 hours per week and up to 40 hours over the summer and winterim period.Hourly Wage:Varies between $11.00-$12.00, based on experience.
