Mechanical Design Engineer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design work holding fixtures and mechanical devices for CNC and special-purpose machines. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs from concept through production.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign work holding fixtures based on machining requirements and customer specificationsDevelop 3D models, drawings, and BOMs using Siemens NX / AutoCAD or similar toolsApply GD&T, mechanical fits, and tolerance stack-up in designsCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teamsSupport design reviews, documentation, and cost optimizationCreate and maintain technical documents, checklists, and reportsEnsure designs meet manufacturing, quality, and project requirementsRequirementsExperience in mechanical design for CNC / metal removal / machining environmentProficiency in NX, AutoCAD, or similar 3D CAD toolsStrong knowledge of GD&T, mechanical design principles, and blueprintsExperience with fixture design, fluid power basics, and BOM/PLM systemsStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferredExperience in metal removal / machining industryExposure to NX (Siemens)
