Dental AssistantLocation: Staten IslandPosition Overview:We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dental Assistant to support our dentists in delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for patient care. We offer flexible scheduling, excellent work/life balance, and open to candidates that can work anywhere from one to five days per week.Key Responsibilities:Assist dentist(s) during various dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms.Take and process dental X-rays and impressions.Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and care.Ensure patient comfort and build rapport to create a positive dental experience.Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed.Handle sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.Manage inventory and restock supplies in treatment rooms.Support front-office operations when needed, including scheduling and patient check-ins.Qualifications:CPR/BLS certification.Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography systems is a plus.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on patient care.Benefits:Competitive hourly wage with long term growth opportunities.Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off and 401k.Opportunities for continuing education and professional growth.A supportive and team-oriented workplace culture.Oakwood Dental is an equal opportunity employer.
