Head of Human ResourcesAbout the RoleThe Head of Human Resources reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works primarily with members of the executive management team as well as managers from all functional areas. This role partners with senior leadership to build, develop, and execute Blum's strategic goals while serving as a visible cultural leader across the organization.The position plays a critical role in aligning people strategy with Blum USA's business objectives and supporting a collaborative, social, and engaging work environment.What You'll DoStrategic & Executive PartnershipPartner with the CFO and executive management team to build, develop, and execute Blum's strategic goalsMaintain alignment of the HR department with Blum USA's strategic objectivesTranslate business strategy into workforce plans and capability developmentServe as a cultural leader, working to maintain and strengthen Blum's core values and attributesHuman Resources LeadershipPlan and direct all aspects of the HR department's work activities and the implementation of HR-sponsored programs and initiativesMaintain overall responsibility for recruiting, selection, hiring, onboarding, safety, employee relations, performance management, and employee servicesManage the identification of future talent needs and develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plansManage employee relations issues in the best interest of employees and the organizationCompensation, Benefits & ComplianceDesign, propose, and manage competitive, financially sustainable compensation and benefit programsAnalyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop a competitive compensation planEnsure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and reporting requirementsMitigate employee-related risk through proactive policy, training, and compliance practicesDevelopment, Culture & CommunicationSupport employee development, organizational development, succession planning, training, and leadership developmentInitiate, research, develop, and deliver employee development processesProvide coaching and mentoring services to members of the management team regarding human performance improvement concepts and practicesDirect preparation and distribution of written and verbal communications to inform employees of benefits, compensation, and personnel policiesOperations & AdministrationFormulate policies and procedures for recruitment, testing, placement, orientation, company forms, documents, handbooks, and management manualsPrepare the Human Resources department budgetPrepare documentation for visas, extensions, and green card processesWho You'll Work WithReports to the Chief Financial OfficerWorks closely with executive leadership and managers across all functional areasMay work occasionally with attorneys, government officials, and representatives from local businessesWhat You BringEducationUndergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or Education (required)Advanced degree or HRCI-SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification (a plus)Additional training in legal issues, federal and state laws, and business theory/practices (preferred)ExperienceMinimum of 12 years of experience across various HR rolesAt least 5 years in a senior leadership positionExperience in a mid-sized industrial manufacturing environment with a 500+ employee workforceDemonstrated experience supporting international or multi-country workforcesKnowledgeHuman resource policies and practices including recruitment, selection, promotion, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and HRISBusiness and organizational planning, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coaching methodsAdult learning, training, organizational development, and performance managementFederal and state laws governing Human Resource managementFoundation SkillsMotivating, developing,
