Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. is looking for Underwriting Technicians to join our Saint Peters, MO, Oak Ridge, TN, or Burlington, NC offices. The Underwriting Technician supports the underwriting staff by carrying out various support tasks. No insurance experience required. You can earn while you learn! Responsibilities: Providing support and book management assistance to the assigned Underwriter. Assist in marketing of accounts to multiple carriers determined by the specific needs of the insured including researching current coverage and available options. Quoting policies for our agents both by phone and email by using our carrier partners' online platforms. Answer Agent questions related to coverages, premiums, and all other account related items. Assist Agents with the knowledge to complete all paperwork properly. Assist with quotes through multiple insurance carriers via online portals. Working with Carrier Underwriters for risk placement. Requirements: Proficient with Microsoft Office Strong communication skills Organized, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving Education/Experience: Associates required. Bachelors preferred. Physical Demand: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
