Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Coverage Needed : Start Date: April 2026 End Date: July 2026 Schedule: 10-11 days/month, Friday afternoon through the next full week and weekend, ending either Sunday evening or Monday morning If the provider is local, coverage may be either a 3-day span or a 10-day consecutive stretch The 10-day schedule will consist of either OR call or ICU call (not both during that period) Call typically begins at 3:00 PM or 3:30 PM, with 3:00 PM currently being the standard, though this is in transition Open Dates: 4/20/26 at 7 am to 6/1/26 at 7 am Clinical Details : Cardiac Surgical PA or NP Reports to Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-20 Patient Demographic: Adult and Geriatric EMR System: Epic Includes OR Call and ICU/CVICU Call Required Duties and Procedures: Write Prescriptions, Coordination of Care, Rounding, Interpret Tests, Order Test, Vein Harvesting For the EVH device, the facility has both Terumo and Maquet/Getinge available, so providers may choose their preferred device Day shift requirement to be onsite for either OR cases or ICU coverage Requirements : Board Certified (ANCC, AANP) OH State License - Preferred (willing to consider providers needing to obtain an OH license only if it can be acquired quickly) ACLS COVID Vaccination Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery experience - Preferred (Critical Care experience may be considered) No new grads A Self-Query NPDB report (must be dated within 30 days) Availability for listed dates NP's must be able to perform vein harvesting and first assist
