Travel Cath Lab / EP Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13- or 26-week contract at a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings.Job Details• Acute care hospital setting - Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds,• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with no IR component,• Patient population includes middle and older adults,• Procedures include diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, cardiac implant closure device, IABP placement/removal, rotablader atherectomy, and scrub procedures,• Responsibilities include equipment setup, interpretation of dysrhythmias, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and adherence to sterile technique and isolation precautions,• Charting via Cerner (experience required),• 4x12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM; 3x12-hour schedule may also be accommodated,• Candidates will work 2-3 weekends per contract,• On-call is required on a rotating basis with staff and agency; dedicated call team in place,• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers,• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction,Job Requirements• Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings,• Active ARRT and/or RCIS certification required,• Current ACLS and BLS required; AHA and Red Cross cards accepted - RQI AHA cards are not accepted,• Cerner EMR experience required,• Experience with scrub procedures, sterile technique, and isolation precautions,• Competency with IABP, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, rotablader atherectomy, and cardiac implant closure devices,• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias,• Active professional license required at time of consideration - license required if applicable,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,Additional Information• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Contract length is flexible - candidates may choose a 13- or 26-week assignment,• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during their contract,• RTO of 5 days or fewer is preferred; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval,• Travel pairs are not accepted,• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler,• Scrubs are provided,• Parking is available at no cost with a permit obtained during orientation,• Schedule requests should be discussed with the hiring manager
