Looking for several volunteers to escort residents from the Arbor to and from Classic Movie Saturdays, weekly or every other week Volunteer time: 1:00-3:00 p.m. Responsibilities: Escort residents safely to/from assigned activities Be familiar with wheelchair escorting and general escorting procedures from Volunteer Handbook Qualifications/Skills/Requirements: Must be 16 years of age or older Moderate pushing/lifting/walking needed Kind, energetic, and patient disposition Time Commitment/Hours: Weekly commitment or on/call status 2 hours/per outing needed Benefits to Volunteer: Build relationships with senior residents Be part of a fun-loving team Builds self-esteem & gives that "feel good" feeling in helping another human being Volunteering looks good on a resume’ Reports to: Betty Carlson, Volunteer Director 952-471-3920 and Life Enrichment Coordinator associated with activity Training and/or Support Provided: Volunteer Orientation On the job training Activity staff support All volunteers are required to: Create an online volunteer profile (contact information) Complete on line orientation State Required Background study.
