As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and clear communication. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card and/or license. Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, medical response notifications, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or onsite personnel as directed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Control access points by verifying identification, managing visitor processing, and checking restricted areas in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations. Complete detailed activity, incident, and shift reports, monitor cameras and alarms as assigned, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.Minimum Requirements: Have 1+ years' armed security and/or law enforcement and/or military experience. Possess an armed guard card/license. Customer service experience is preferred. Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
