The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / X-Ray Technician to join our urgent care team. This role performs both medical assisting and radiographic imaging duties to support providers in diagnosing injuries and illnesses. The ideal candidate must be certified as a Medical Assistant and licensed to perform X-ray procedures, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care environment.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate and professional mannerPerform medical assistant duties including patient intake, vital signs, documentation, and assisting providers during exams and proceduresPosition patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging proceduresPerform radiographic imaging following provider orders and urgent care protocolsPractice ALARA radiation safety principles at all timesProcess and review images for proper identification, positioning, and quality controlPrepare images for physician interpretation and radiologist over-reads as requiredUtilize digital and non-digital imaging equipment in compliance with approved radiology techniques, policies, and proceduresAssist providers with prescribed patient treatments according to established standards, policies, and protocolsPerform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and coordinate repairs as neededComplete and maintain accurate forms, records, logs, and reportsAssist with front desk or administrative duties when needed within scope of practicePerform other duties as assigned to support clinic operationsQualificationsCurrent Medical Assistant certification requiredCurrent X-ray licensure required per state regulations requiredTechnical school or equivalent experience (6 months–1 year) in a clinical or urgent care settingARRT registration or ARRT-eligible preferredPrior urgent care, emergency, or high-volume clinical experience preferredStrong patient service skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
