Job Description:
The Fine Wine Associate is responsible for receiving and accurately inventorying inbound deliveries, maintaining accurate inventories of client wines, assisting clients when they visit their storage locker, conducting pickups and making deliveries within prescribed deadlines, and representing the UOVO Wine brand. In addition, manage the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, participate in daily warehouse projects, actively engage as a member of the Operations Team, and perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAble to record data and inventory accuratelyStrong internal and external client service skillsStrong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesVery good analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to keep client account information confidentialAbility and willingness to drive and make deliveriesPreferred Skills/Abilities:Prior experience with wine productsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateExperience with computers, especially with Microsoft Office 365Experience with shipping and logisticsExperience with a pallet jackExperience with a hand truckExperience with a forkliftExperience with an order pickerResponsibilities:Record inbounds accurately into the correct database on a daily basisInventory client's wines as requested or requiredConduct pick and pull requests and prepare wines/cases for pickup or shipping as neededManage and reconcile client inventories accurately within the agreed upon timeframeConsolidate inventories as neededConduct inventory audits to resolve discrepancies as neededMove, organize, build and break down shipping pallets as neededPut together shipping cases as neededAssist with offsite pickups, deliveries, and installationsPerform offsite activities in client cellars, outside locations and other storage facilitiesGreet visitors and accept warehouse deliveries from UPS/FedEx and common carriersOperate forklifts, order picker, and pallet jacksPrepare, label and organize outgoing boxes/pallets with shipping labelsTrack, manage and prepare inbound/outbound shipments when neededKeep the warehouse organized and cleaned on a daily basisEnsure the security of the property before departure on a daily basisFunction and participate as a Team member in meetings and special projectsPerform other related duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Working in a 55-degree F warehouse; exposure to extreme heat and cold when making deliveries throughout the yearSitting, standing, walking, pulling, pushing and climbing stairs/ladders throughout the shiftRequires finger and wrist manipulation and/or grasping more than 50% of the timeMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at timesAbility to lift 40lb boxes repeatedlyTravel Requirements: Local pickup or deliveriesEducation, Experience and/or Certifications:Required:High school diploma, GED, or equivalentValid driver's license with a clean driving recordBe able to pass the Federal DOT physical and obtain a Federal DOT driver's license (if applicable)1 - 3 years warehouse experiencePreferred:2 years of Wine Industry experience preferredForklift certification preferred (but will be provided if necessary)Order Picker experience preferred (but will be provided if necessary)Compensation Details:Salary commensurate with experience.
