GENERAL PURPOSE: As a Retail Area Supervisor, you will be instrumental in store leadership, managing specific areas and overall store operations while acting as the Manager on Duty. Your responsibilities will include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, and ensuring a welcoming shopping atmosphere. You will also be accountable for maintaining merchandise presentation and keeping the workspace clean at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Safety & Security: Prioritize safety and adhere to best practices in all tasks. Maintain a proactive presence on the sales floor to ensure a secure shopping environment. Manage store security, including entrance controls and daily checks of security devices. Ensure emergency exits are unobstructed and accessible. Oversee customer safety and implement accident prevention measures. Customer Service: Treat customers and staff with respect and courtesy at all times. Exhibit professionalism and approachability, actively recognizing team contributions. Brand Representation: Consistently uphold company branding standards. Maintain a professional appearance in line with company dress code. Ensure all store areas remain clean and well-maintained. Merchandising Management: Oversee merchandise recovery and markdowns in accordance with company guidelines. Ensure timely receiving and processing of merchandise. Maintain organized stockrooms and assist with merchandising on the sales floor. Loss Prevention Awareness: Understand and implement the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, encouraging vigilance on the sales floors. Display integrity in all transactions, safeguarding sensitive information. Operational Leadership: Apply best practices to enhance productivity and refine workflows. Supervise front-end operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction. Train associates in customer service skills and cash register operations. Fitting Room Management: Maintain cleanliness and order in the fitting rooms, ensuring proper auditing of garment tags. Administrative Duties: Oversee cash management and ensure adherence to financial procedures. Administer payroll and scheduling to meet operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal communication skills. Prior experience in customer service and supervision is preferred. Availability to work evenings and weekends is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and move for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry items weighing over 25 lbs. when necessary. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will oversee Retail Associates and Stockroom Leads as applicable.
