The Automotive Skilled Trades Instructor provides hands"‘on classroom instruction for participants enrolled in Goodwill Industries of Michiana's Automotive Skilled Trades Training Program. This role helps individuals build in"‘demand automotive technician skills through an ASE"‘aligned curriculum designed to meet the needs of local employers and prepare students for successful entry into the automotive workforce.Compensation:$21 hourlyAll potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.Responsibilities:Deliver engaging, hands"‘on instruction aligned with ASE standards.Develop, update, and facilitate automotive curriculum and lesson plansTeach core concepts including automotive safety, customer service, basic automotive theory and repair, proper use of hand and power tools, se of diagnostic equipment, Brakes, steering, suspension, and engine repairManage classroom records, attendance, and documentation.Collaborate with Program Coordinators, Success Coaches, Career Navigators, and employer partners to support participant successBuild a positive, inclusive learning environment for students of varying skill levelsQualifications:High school Core 40 diploma or equivalent, or the ability to obtain through The Excel CenterAssociate's degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industryCurrent professional level ASE certification or the ability to obtainPrevious teaching experienceWorkplace Specialist License or the ability to obtainHunter Alignment Certified preferredComprehensive knowledge of entry-level ASE certification standards and requirementsAbility to pass a criminal background check and drug screenMust have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sitesAbout CompanyAt Goodwill Industries of Michiana, our mission extends beyond providing job opportunities and community support.
