Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst will provide analytical and pricing support to our business service offerings. The position will utilize customers’ current shipping data and available market data in Forward Air Inc. analysis models to prepare customer-specific profit and loss forecasts that enable the analyst to make appropriate pricing recommendations and decisions. Core Responsibilities & Duties:Roll-out and responsible for using data analytical cost baseDevelop understanding of customer’s transportation needs and service requirementsExpertise in business, marketing, pricing, and revenue management analyticsSolid understanding of quantitative and statistical approaches to business analysis related to revenue analytics and revenue optimizationRespond and support for RFQ's, RFP's and RFI's as needed and in a timely mannerDevelop effective business proposals and bid packagesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Industry experience in transportation or logistics industryMinimum one year’s experience in transportationPossess strong relationships with air freight, ocean carriers, airlines, and freight forwardersExperience reviewing and negotiating transportation contractsMS Excel expertise is required, MS Access experience is preferredDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in Operations, IT, HR, and FinanceSkills:Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethicMust have the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of operationsStrong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environmentGeneral computer skills - Microsoft Office & Outlook #LI-Onsite #LI-BT1 Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer Forward Air is a leading asset-light provider of transportation services across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
