Medical Imaging Assistant Part Time For 45 years Shared Medical Services has been building on our strong foundation with our team of 575 industry professionals who are deeply committed to our patients We have achieved long lasting success through our commitment to innovation delivering unmatched patient care and our experienced and professional team SMS continues to be a well respected trusted and proven provider of specialized medical imaging solutions As an employee owned company YOU MATTER We are currently seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to join our team This position offers a unique change of scenery by means of working on a state of the art mobile scanner and ability to meet new people from various facilities Become a difference maker in your community and join our Shared Medical Services ONETEAM Anticipated Schedule 2 Saturdays per month 1 half day and 1 full day Responsibilities Assist technologist in starting IVsAssist in providing excellent patient care on a mobile medical route including maintaining patient comfort safety and confidentialityAssist in transporting patients between the medical facility and the mobile scannerAssist the Medical Technologist in completing applicable forms and positioning patients on the scanner to facilitate the examinationComplete necessary administrative tasks ie timeactivity reports and billingQualifications IV experience is highly preferred Must be willing to walk and stand for long periods of timeSuccessfully pass a pre employment post offer background check urine drug screen and physicalYou must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionallyYou must be a minimum of 21 years of ageBenefits Travel Perks paid drive time and mileage and more depending on position Retirement Plans 401k and Employee Stock Ownership Plan ESOPShared Medical Services is an equal opportunity employer All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin veteran or disability status
