The Senior Family Assistance Analyst will: Process complex eligibility determinations for multiple income support programs; Provide employment assistance to a diverse population; Serve as a lead worker by mentoring staff. How does it get done? The Senior Family Assistance Analyst is responsible for: Providing case management in compliance with federal and state regulations, performance measures and mandated timeliness; Coordinating client utilization of multiple public assistance programs which may contain conflicting eligibility criteria. Who are the customers? Income Support Division (ISD) clients; Family Assistance Analysts (FAA); Office Clerks; ISD management. Ideal Candidate The Ideal Candidate has experience: Independently managing a caseload; Interviewing clients in order to assess income potential based on language and vocational skills, education level, training needs, and employment history; Providing complex case management and problem resolutions; Providing consultation and mentoring to co-workers. Minimum Qualification High School diploma or equivalent and five (5) years experience in unemployment insurance claims and/or tax, accounting, auditing, finance, budgeting, eligibility determination/interviewing, clerical work, customer service, and/or data entry. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
