Facility Operations Specialist Temporary Promotion Not to Exceed 1 Year

Serves as Facilities Operations Specialist in the Facilities and Logistics Division of Resource Management providing support of Member Services. Serves as Facility Manager, Safety Officer and Physical Security Officer for the facility. Also provides geographical site-specific construction planning and space utilization oversight. Duties: * Develops and directs on-site building and furniture operations, maintenance, repair, alteration, cleaning, recycling, shredding, and security activities related to a leased building. * Conducts various types of inspections on building and equipment on a regular basis in addition to completing condition surveys, planning and implementing the recycling program, and security system access measures * Serves as senior project manager for facilities-related programs including relocations/moves, space modifications, space acquisition, construction requirements, interior design, and other aspects of a fully functional operation of a business environment facility. * Negotiates for required services such as janitorial, facility repair and HVAC. Act as liaison with building manager. * Conducts in-depth reviews of submitted project proposals to assess facility and/or construction needs and priorities. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30a.m. - 4:00p.m. Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
