JOB SUMMARY:This is an administrative support position where the employee performs diversified clerical and administrative support to functional areas within the human resources department for a single-site manufacturer to supply strata control systems for the mining and tunneling industries and various specialty steel products per customer specification.EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma/GED Required; Associates Degree or Equivalent from Two-Year College/Technical School PreferredMinimum Two (2) Years Related Experience Preferred; or Equivalent Combination of Education and ExperienceADP Workforce Now Experience, A PlusJOB REQUIREMENTS:Dependability to be consistently at work and on timeFunctional verbal/written communication skills to interact with line workers, supervisors, and managerial/administrative personnelWorking knowledge of filing methods, business english, spelling, and arithmetic with excellent attention to detail and accuracyWorking knowledge and/or skill in word processing, spread sheets, and other computer applications relevant to hr and payroll processingWorking knowledge of hr/payroll practices and procedures including applicable state and federal lawsA "team" mentality with ability to follow written and verbal instructionsGood time management skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to process, maintain, and disburse confidential and sensitive informationClose visual acuity, near/far vision, and upper limb coordinationAbility to sit for extended periods during normal phase dutiesLight/medium (up to 20 lbs.) Lifting capability during normal phase dutiesRESPONSIBILITIES:Submits employment processing paperwork for all new hourly/salary personnel to corporate human resources department.Set up/maintains employee files; assigns and enters hourly employee number in time clock system.Submit payroll status change information to corporate human resources department and record employee status changes on site personnel pile data from site personnel records and prepares reports as required.Examine site personnel files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized people at site and corporate locations.Timely submission of required data for weekly corporate payroll pile and submit employee benefits paperwork within required timeframe to corporate human resources department for use in employee benefits administration.Prepare and submits accident/injury reports to corporate safety department and files site copies.Excellent benefits include medical with a standard PPO plan with deductibles as low as $1,500 and wellness credit up to $750; voluntary 401k plan with company match up to 12%; voluntary dental and vision plans; free telemedicine services; basic life and short term disability coverage.EOE M/F/D/V
