Clinical Pharmacist in Silver Spring, MD

A clinical pharmacist position is available at a well-regarded medical center in State College, PA, offering a dynamic role with diverse unit experiences including the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and participation on the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger facilities where pharmacists may be assigned to a single unit, this role provides the opportunity to broaden clinical expertise across multiple critical care settings. Key Responsibilities: Perform medication order entry, verification, and review medication profiles for appropriateness. Provide clinical services tailored to specific patient populations. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and teams as assigned. Conduct drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults per established protocols. Respond to acute patient scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma in ED and critical care settings. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. PGY-1 residency or a minimum of three years of current clinical pharmacy experience. Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain. Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system preferred. Additional Details: This is a permanent position with mainly day shifts and some variable afternoons (8-hour shifts). Salary ranges from $108,000 to $169,000 annually, with a midpoint around $139,000. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.
