Posting Number Stu452P Working Title Summer Research Scholar FLSA Exempt Student Pay Level Flex Advertised Pay Rate 30.00 Position Status Regular Student Employment Department Student Emp Dept of Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering Job Summary/Basic Function The student will participate in all aspects of the Shepherd Neuroscience Research Program (SNRP). The student will work closely with the program's principal investigator (PI) on activities to advance the stated research goals of the project. These activities will be carried out in collaboration with the PI and largely involve designing and carrying out experiments in the laboratory related to imaging of the brain using confocal microscopy. The student will also carry out analyses of experimental results as directed by the PI. If appropriate, the student will work with the PI to prepare materials for presentation and publication at regional or national meetings. The student will also be expected to participate in regular meetings with research colleagues at sister institutions. Minimum Qualifications * Student must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in neuroscience or a related biological field. * Student must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0. * Must be enrolled part-time for Summer or Fall 2026 Preferred Qualifications Posting Date 03/18/2026 Close Date 07/01/2026 Special Instructions Summary
