Position Overview We are seeking an experienced GI Lab / Endoscopy RN to join a high-volume Level II Trauma, tertiary care center in Seattle, WA. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced endoscopy unit, supporting both inpatient and outpatient procedures across a diverse patient population. ✅ Required Qualifications Active RN License (WA or Compact) BLS & ACLS Certifications – Required Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy/GI Lab experience Experience with moderate sedation and endoscopic procedures Strong clinical skills in patient monitoring and procedural support Open to first-time travelers ⭐ Preferred Qualifications Experience assisting with advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures Strong knowledge of GI disease processes and interventions ?️ Key Responsibilities Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, advanced therapeutic cases) Administer and monitor moderate sedation Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care and monitoring Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to infection control protocols Educate patients and families on procedures and post-care instructions Document all care in compliance with facility standards Float within scope to support unit needs ? Unit Highlights 30% Inpatient / 70% Outpatient / 10% Pediatrics Large Endoscopy Department: 19 admit/discharge rooms 9 procedure rooms (including manometry) High-acuity cases with a wide range of complex GI conditions ⏱️ Schedule & Requirements 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) Every other weekend required Floating required within skillset RTO Policy: Max 4 days (additional requires approval) ?
