Elliott Bay Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Practice Manager to join our established, AAHA-accredited veterinary practice. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced, 7-doctor hospital with approximately 30 team members, where you will have direct influence on operations, team experience, and hospital performance.We are looking for a thoughtful, motivated leader who values collaboration, accountability, and growth. Everyone understands the role they play in shaping our culture and contributing to the success of the hospital.What You'll DoAs Practice Manager, you will lead the daily operations of the hospital while supporting and guiding a high-performing team. You will partner closely with our doctors and leadership team to ensure a positive work environment, strong client relationships, and efficient, well-run operations.Key responsibilities include:Leading and supporting a team of veterinary professionals across all departmentsManaging day-to-day hospital operations, including scheduling, workflow, and staffingSupporting hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team developmentFostering a culture of accountability, open communication, and collaborationOverseeing hospital financial performance, including revenue management, budgeting, and expense controlManaging payroll and ensuring accurate and timely processingMonitoring key performance indicators and identifying opportunities for growth and improvementInfluencing and driving hospital growth and overall performanceEnsuring an exceptional client and patient experience aligned with AAHA standardsWhat We ValueWe hold ourselves to a high standard in how we care for our patients and how we operate as a team.Efficiency - We are intentional with our time and workflows so we can provide timely, organized care without compromising qualityGold-standard medicine - We support our doctors and clinical team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based careGrowth and development - We invest in our people and encourage team members to pursue their professional goals within veterinary medicineWhat Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months)Success in this role starts with building trust and understanding.In the first 6-12 months, you will:Build strong relationships with team members, doctors, and leadershipEstablish trust and create an environment where people feel supported and heardPartner with the team to address challenges and strengthen daily operationsDevelop a strong understanding of our clients and the community we serveBegin taking ownership of operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growthHelp reinforce a culture that prioritizes both team well-being and exceptional patient careQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in the veterinary fieldPrior leadership or management experience requiredExperience managing hospital financials, including revenue, budgeting, and payrollCVPM and/or SHRM certification preferred (or interest in pursuing)Strong organizational and time management skillsConfident communicator with the ability to lead, coach, and support a teamExperience supporting or managing hospital operations and team performanceInterest in contributing to the financial and strategic growth of a practiceCompensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive and supportive benefits package, including:Salary: $85,000-$95,000Paid vacation and sick timeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Veterinary discountsPublic transit benefit401(k) with employer match (after introductory period)Referral bonusElliott Bay Animal Hospital is part of the Veterinary Roots family, which includes Bothell Pet Hospital, Lynnwood Animal Hospital, and Rainier Veterinary Hospital.
