LHH Professional Recruitment is hiring for a Benefits Specialist role with a company located in Seattle, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a benefits professional with strong experience supporting health & welfare plans and retirement administration who enjoys working in a collaborative, service-oriented environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide consultation and guidance on benefits-related matters, including eligibility, policy interpretation, and regulatory compliance.Benefits Specialist ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary contact for employee and manager questions related to health & welfare and retirement benefitsReview benefit elections to confirm eligibility requirements and accurately process changes within the HRISPartner with managers and internal teams to ensure benefit eligibility and coverage are administered correctlySupport new hire benefits orientations and annual open enrollment activitiesAssist with the preparation and submission of eligibility and payroll files to benefit vendorsReceive, reconcile, and submit payment requests for benefit vendor invoicesSupport audits, regulatory reporting, and documentation related to benefit plansMaintain high standards of data accuracy, confidentiality, and customer serviceQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of benefits administration experienceExperience supporting health & welfare and retirement plansStrong understanding of benefits compliance and eligibility requirementsExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a team environment with a strong customer service focusAbility to communicate complex benefit concepts clearly and professionallyWorking knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations impacting benefit plans, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, USERRA, and PPACA (ACA)Benefits:Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 120 hours a year with an increase after tenure, 9 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (Washington State).
