The University of Scranton Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track Faculty Specialist position in the area of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing starting in August, 2026. This is an in-person, on site position; regular on-campus presence is required. The position involves teaching in the undergraduate program and potentially in the graduate, and DNP programs; teaching and service are required. Essential Duties Teaching Service Other responsibilities as outlined in the faculty contract and handbook Additional Skills Required Applicants must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Minimum Education Requirements A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing is required. Preferred Education Doctoral degree is preferred. Minimum Job Experience Requirements Applicants must have 3-5 years of recent professional nursing practice experience in area(s) of teaching responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Certification as an advanced practice nurse in psychiatric /mental health is preferred.
