Job Title: Fibers Plant HeadLocation: Scottsboro, AL Department: OperationsReports To: Regional Manufacturing Head - FibersFLSA Status: ExemptDirect Reports: Plant functional leaders (Quality, Maintenance, Production, EHS, Engineering, etc.)Position SummaryThe Fibers Plant Head is responsible for overall site leadership, overseeing Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, and Safety functions. This role drives operational performance by executing strategies that meet customer demand, improve quality, increase efficiency, and continuously enhance processes and systems. The Plant Head partners closely with regional and global leadership to align plant operations with broader business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all daily plant operations.Build and sustain a high-performance, safety-first culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and employee development.Develop and mentor leadership teams and frontline employees, ensuring a strong pipeline of future talent.Design and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with business goals and value creation initiatives.Translate strategic transformation initiatives into actionable plant-level programs that improve efficiency, reliability, and asset utilization.Lead execution of capital projects, ensuring delivery on time and within scope.Drive cost optimization through lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and process improvements.Promote cross-functional collaboration across maintenance, quality, logistics, and operations to maximize efficiency.Share best practices and collaborate with peer leaders to improve overall performance across the organization.Implement and sustain continuous improvement methodologies throughout all operational levels.Ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, regulatory, and corporate governance standards.Maintain strong internal controls and risk mitigation processes.Perform other duties as assigned.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)EHS & Compliance: Environmental violations, lost-time injury rate, audit findings, regulatory compliance, legal actions/penaltiesCost & Productivity: Variable cost, fixed cost, conversion cost, cost per headcountStrategic Execution: Capital project implementation, footprint optimizationTransformation Initiatives: Cost reduction, operational savings, digitalization effortsPeople Development: Training hours, retention rate, internal promotion rateRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProven project management experienceExperience leading cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive financial performanceBackground in change management and organizational transformationExperience RequirementsMinimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentAt least 5 years in a senior leadership roleExperience operating within a global organization preferredExperience leading large-scale manufacturing operationsTextile or fibers industry experience preferredEducationBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field requiredMaster's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain preferred
