The facility maintains high standards of care with a dedicated pediatric unit and NICU capabilities, offering excellent support for both patients and healthcare providers.Opportunity:Physician - Pediatric HospitalistJob Details:• Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage for 5-7 days per month with 8am-8am shift times• Cannot work back-to-back shifts - minimum one day required between shifts• Handle 5-10 patient encounters per shift with complete in-house coverage• Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation• Conduct well baby rounds and provide NICU coverage during night hours• Manage ED consults and pediatric admissions on a case-by-case basis• Perform required procedures including intubation (newborn and pediatric), central lines, and UVC placements• Handle needle pneumothorax decompression and interpret X-rays and EKGs• Preferred skills include ventilation management, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, and chest tube insertion• Must maintain active California medical license and DEA registration• Required certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and PALS• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency completion• Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in pediatrics required• Credentialing timeline approximately 90 days with temporary privilege eligibility available• Travel accommodations include airport parking and destination transportation reimbursementCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
