Engage in a rewarding part-time contract position as a School Therapist with a focus on Art Therapy, serving students in the Santa Clarita, CA area. This opportunity spans from March 9, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with no extended school year (ESY) work required. Responsibilities include providing therapeutic services to a caseload of four students across multiple school sites. You will conduct weekly sessions varying in length from 30 to 85 minutes, perform comprehensive assessments, and participate in annual Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support student progress and well-being. Key qualifications for this role: Possession of one of the following certifications: A certificate issued by the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification; A certificate from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation; Certification from the National Recreation and Park Association authorizing services in recreation or therapeutic recreation. Experience in therapeutic practices within a school setting, particularly in art therapy or recreational therapy. Ability to work approximately 5 to 10 hours per week on a part-time schedule.
