An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Hematology/Oncology (CARTI / Bone Marrow Transplant) to join a leading pediatric hospital near Fresno, CA. This direct hire position plays a critical role in ensuring medication safety, regulatory compliance, and optimal pharmacy practices within the inpatient hospital setting. The role offers the chance to collaborate closely with pharmacy leadership and multidisciplinary teams to drive evidence-based medication management and patient safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all regulatory laws and medication safety standards. Lead continuous evaluation and improvement of pharmacy practices with an evidence-based approach. Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures supporting best practices and staff support. Provide education and training on patient safety and regulatory compliance topics. Advocate for patients through medication safety efforts and interaction with medical staff. Manage the Medication Error Reporting Program and contribute to ongoing safety enhancements. Utilize EMR system (EPIC) for clinical and operational efficiency. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Completion of an accredited residency program preferred. Minimum of 5 years hospital or related experience required. At least 2 years of management experience preferred. Valid California Pharmacist license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification or ASHP/ISMP Medication Safety Certification preferred. In-depth knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulatory standards (including The Joint Commission), and medication safety principles. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, leadership, and medical personnel to develop pharmaceutical care processes. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts.
