We value employee dedication and provide comprehensive training to ensure your success.Job DescriptionAs a Medical Billing & Insurance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the financial health of our practice while serving as a trusted resource for our patients. You will be responsible for managing insurance claims, payments, and patient billing inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and compassion.Your responsibilities will include:Answering billing-related calls and responding to patient inquiries in a professional, clear, and empathetic mannerConfidently contacting insurance companies and patients for payment follow-ups and claim resolutionProcessing patient payments accurately and securelyReviewing, interpreting, and explaining Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to patientsSubmitting and managing medical records requestsManaging claim denials, including research, appeals, and persistent follow-upWorking with PPO, Medicare, HMO, and Medi-Cal insurance plansSubmitting claims, checking claim status, and filing appeals through insurance portals and online systemsMaintaining accurate, well-documented billing records in a paperless environmentCollaborating with clinical and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies efficientlyQualificationsExperience:Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience preferredBackground in insurance billing, payment posting, and denial managementSkills & Knowledge:In-depth understanding of PPO, Medicare, HMO, and Medi-Cal plansHighly skilled in reading and interpreting EOBsProficient with insurance portals and online claim systemsStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environmentPersonal Attributes:Extremely detail-oriented and self-motivatedDependable, hardworking, and accountableComfortable making outbound calls to insurance companies and patientsProfessional, calm, and patient-focused demeanorCompensation and BenefitsPay: We offer competitive pay based on your experience and qualifications. This is a non-exempt/overtime eligible position.Schedule: Monday–Friday only (no weekends).
