Position Type: Part-Time/Interventionist Math/Reading - Pool (Part-Time) Date Posted: 9/18/2025 Location: San Benito CISD Additional Information: Show/Hide Job Title: Interventionist (Part-Time) Reports to: Work with: Campus Principal Campus Personnel & Students Pay Grade: Part-Time Position Dept./School: Campus Assigned Primary Purpose: Primarily responsible for assisting teachers with the planning and implementation of the District's approved curriculum, instructional programs and strategies for core areas. Prerequisites: * Texas Teacher certificate in assigned core area. Special Knowledge/Skills: * Strong command of core areas * Strong work ethics * Ability to work well with people * Ability to write well Major Responsibilities and Duties: I. Regularly review student profiles/class progress. * Review data to determine student academic needs in the core area (s) * Review and monitor student assessment data and progress. * Meet regularly with students and teachers to review progress/student information/interventions. * Work with small groups of students (5-10) needing interventions for 40-50 minutes, 4-5 times a week. * Modify instruction and intervention based on assessment data. * Develop and implement a detailed lesson plan that reflects the needs of the students being served. * Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles. * Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned. * Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits. * Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
